Phase 3 — Rapid Fire
5 rounds in 10 seconds, at 25 yards, building to a scored match test.
Two 5-round strings, 10 seconds each, at 25 yards — the same progression as Timed Fire, at double the cadence.
| Stage | Target | Standard | Advance when… |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rapid Fire Group Shooting | Blank | ≤5.5″ dia. (L-9) | 2 consecutive 10-rd L-9 groups |
| Rapid Fire One-Shot Drills | Small training target, 2-sec exposure | All shots in black | 2 consecutive 10-rd targets, all in black |
| Rapid Fire Group Shooting (refine) | Small training target | All shots in black | 2 consecutive 10-rd targets, all in black |
| Rapid Fire Match Simulation | Standard scoring target | 10-ring | 10 hits in the 10-ring within 10 shots |
| Test: Rapid Fire Match | Standard, scored, no assistance | 2×10-rd combined | New shooter 190 / Old shooter 192 (of 200) |
Stance and body-weight distribution matter more here than at any other cadence — they’re what let you recover the sights fast enough between shots. If the test isn’t mastered, return to the Rapid Fire Match Simulation stage and re-master it before retesting.
